Media Types We Publish
Rushwave publications accomodate a variety of learning styles by allowing content to be read, heard or watched. This is accomplished by making every publication available in several media types or versions.
- Hardcover books are for those who prefer the look and feel of a physical book with a long lasting, durable cover. Hardcover books are 6.140" x 9.210" (234mm x 156mm) with a case laminate binding and matte finish.
- Paperback books are for those who likewise prefer the look and feel of a physical book, but want the portability and flexiblity a paperback provides. Paperback books are 6.140" x 9.210" (234mm x 156mm) with a perfect bound binding and matte finish.
- E-books are digital files containing text that allow a book to be read. E-books are available either on the Rushwave website, with various e-readers (Rakuten Kobo, Amazon Kindle, Barnes & Noble Nook, etc.), or with Pdf reader applications (Adobe Acrobat Reader, Adobe Digital Editions, etc.)
- Audiobooks are audio files that may be heard on the Rushwave.org website via the built-in audio player, or via various audiobook apps.
- Videos are media files that may be viewed exclusively on the Rushwave.org website via the built-in media player. Only a web browser and internet connection is required.
On the Rushwave website, a book is divided into chapters over a series of webpages. Each webpage contains text, audio and video thereby allowing one to play audio and read at the same time, if desired.
